Meet Dr. Lawrence D. Brandyburg

Dr. Lawrence D. Brandyburg is the former Interim President of Bishop State Community College in Mobile, Alabama. Over his distinguished 27-year career with the Lone Star College System, Dr. Brandyburg held several key positions. He served as the Dean of Instruction for the Division of Behavioral & Social Sciences and was also the CEO of Lone Star College-Jakarta. In addition, he fulfilled the role of Vice President of Instruction at Lone Star College-University Park. Prior to this, Dr. Brandyburg was the Instructional Dean at Lone Star College-Montgomery and served as Executive Director of the Lone Star College-University Center.

His academic contributions include his tenure as Professor of Sociology at Tomball College, where he taught courses such as Introduction to Sociology, Marriage and Family, Social Psychology, and Minority Studies. He also took on leadership roles as Department Chair for Behavioral Sciences and as Special Assistant to the Vice President of Instruction and Student Development at Lone Star College-Tomball.
